Meet Abdellah, a local Marrakshi with a fantastic eye for leather boots and bags.
He welcomed me into his shop near the Medina and the Bahia Palace with a big smile and an open heart, inviting me to drink mint tea with him and his shop neighbor.
I was extremely touched by his hospitality and generosity. I had the very fortunate experience of sharing lunch (a chicken tagine prepared by his wife) with him and his young son.
It was definitely one of the highlights of my Marrakech mini-holiday, and opened my eyes to the kindness of Moroccan strangers.
