Portrait of an Onsight

6a+ (5.10b), my second of the day.  Many thanks to my climbing partner,  Joey, for snapping the pics, and for the encouraging belays @ Crazy Horse Buttress.

Interestingly, the scariest part of the climb was when I was setting up the rappel, and a hive of bees began to swarm up towards me.  I’d like to say that I kept my calm, but I’m pretty sure I was stressing and sweating up a storm.  Fortunately,  I was able to put myself back on belay to get lowered quickly down the crag before the bees had a chance to test their stingers – phew. Lucky escape.
