6a+ (5.10b), my second of the day. Many thanks to my climbing partner, Joey, for snapping the pics, and for the encouraging belays @ Crazy Horse Buttress.
Interestingly, the scariest part of the climb was when I was setting up the rappel, and a hive of bees began to swarm up towards me. I’d like to say that I kept my calm, but I’m pretty sure I was stressing and sweating up a storm. Fortunately, I was able to put myself back on belay to get lowered quickly down the crag before the bees had a chance to test their stingers – phew. Lucky escape.
