A little bit of Addis Adaba in Minnesota

Sometimes, you stumble upon the most exotic food and travel adventures in your home country.

En route to the W Hotel Minneapolis, I struck up a conversation with a local Lyft driver who immigrated from Ethiopia.

We talked about Ethiopian food, tibs (roasted meats) and , DC’s famous restaurant Dukam’s.  As we were approaching my hotel, he asked if I wanted to try some legit tibs nearby, and we drove to Fasika in St. Paul, Minnesota

I’m glad I took a chance on him and said yes.
