We spent a night camping at Glacial Serrano. Cristian and his Kayak en Patagonia team did a phenomenal job ensuring we had best-in-class camping gear (MSR tents, Therm-a-Rest sleeping bags) that kept us warm and dry through the cold, rain, and harsh winds.
We awoke to windy weather that pushed glacial ice towards the coast, blocking our kayak access.
So we decided to have leisurely breakfast of delicious eggs prepared by Cristian and Jose-Luis, followed by a leisurely walk to get up close and personal with the Glacial Serrano.
After loading all our kayaks and gear on the ferry that would carry us back to Puerto Natales, Cristian organized a very special concoction for us to celebrate a successful kayak adventure: whisky on the rocks prepared with Glacial Serrano ice.
Salud!
Many thanks to Cristian, Jose-Luis, Leslie, and the Kayak en Patagonia team for organizing such an unforgettable and awesome adventure on the Rio Serrano.
