My boyfriend and I climbed our first mountain together, an alpine mixed climbing route, rated AD (Assez Difficile/fairly hard. Steep climbing or long snow/ice slopes above 50 degrees; for experienced alpine climbers only).

It was his first outdoor climbing excursion, both his and my first mixed climbing route, and our first of many apexes together.  It was rather impressive, and the Arête des Cosmiques was not bad, either.

Yep, I’ve finally met my match.
